Compliance and Quality Assurance

The Compliance Quality Assurance function requires individuals to understand business processes, including internal controls. Audit groups should identify business risks and work with business management to identify resolutions to mitigate risks. Responsibilities are to assist in: developing and implementing compliance risk assessment to evaluate the level of healthcare compliance risks facing the organization; create the healthcare compliance audit function by determining the audit universe, audit plan and developing audit programs that address the healthcare compliance risks; and focus on evaluating compliance processes and identifying operational and/or functional improvements within the company. Additional responsibilities include performing audits of processes to enhance effectiveness and focused reviews of information systems. Auditors should maintain well-documented work papers and draft various reports; prepare written reports and management presentations, and manage multiple relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through high quality service deliverables. An auditor is expected to share ideas with other staff and support critical reasoning with Company, industry and professional standards. Continuous improvement of compliance audit is required by keeping current on evolving audit techniques and practices as well as external requirements through industry and technical subject matter expertise in compliance risk management.
